Great! Looking forward to welcoming your retail location to the S'well movement. Send an e-mail to wholesale (at) swellbottle (dot) com.
No, S'well Bottles are not freezer-safe. S'well Bottles are so well insulated, the ThermaS'well Technology TM doesn't allow the cold (or hot) to penetrate. Even putting your S'well Bottle in the freezer for a short period of time can affect the insulation from expansion. So please don't freeze a S'well Bottle; if you like your drinks really cold, just add ice. Note the opening of the S'well bottle was designed to fit standard ice cubes (it's 1-3/8" wide).
This should help:
Lunchbox size = 9 oz/260ml = 8" tall and 2-1/2" wide
Original Size = 17 oz/500 ml = 10-1/4" tall and 2-3/4" at widest point
Larger Size= 25 oz/750 ml = 12" tall and 3" wide
No, S'well bottles are not dishwasher safe. The ThermaS'well™ technology can be compromised and the vacuum seal may fail. Also, the color wrap may become damaged due to dishwasher use. See the "How do I clean my S'well" FAQ for more use/care instructions. S'wells are happiest when hand-washed and air-dried.
S'well bottles are made of 18/8 stainless steel, a heavy gauge metal but not entirely dent-proof. So it can get a ding if you drop one (or drive over it with a car for that matter). Please note our ThermaS'well Technology™ guarantee does not cover damage caused by accident, normal wear and tear, improper care or cleaning, or mis-use. Take care of your S'well, and it can be your BFF, emphasizing that last "F" in forever.
We spent over a year on prototype design, consumer focus groups and product testing (and extensive FDA materials testing). From our research, most bottled water is purchased to drink on the go, so it was important for this bottle to be insulated, made of double-walled stainless steel of the highest quality (18/8) to keep water cold even when left in a hot car on a summer day, or to keep tea warm, even when left on the nightstand overnight. Inside the cap is made of BPA-free polypropylene with a latex-free silicone ring to vacuum seal the cap tight.
For a very long time. We like to say liquids stay cold 24 hours and hot for 12. But truth be told, the ThermaS’well™ technology keeps beverages cool or hot even longer than that. It really depends on a number of factors, such as the exterior temperature, the type of drink inside and even the color of your S’well bottle. That’s science for you! Take the S’well challenge yourself, we are confident you will be impressed.
Nope. That’s the beauty of insulation. Your hands stay dry, as does your desk, the inside of your bag and everything else that comes in contact with your S’well bottle.
Our go-everywhere size is $35.00 which, to some, might seem like a large investment in a water bottle. However, just think of how much you will be saving by not buying bottled water. Any finance professor would congratulate the positive payback period of your modest investment in a S’well bottle. But why quote a finance professor when you can quote a comedian?
"There is a company in Los Angeles that's selling a bottle of water for $2,600. You know what's just as ridiculous? A $2 bottle of water."
— Jimmy Fallon
S’well bottles meet our own very high standards for product quality and are made at our facility in China, which is overseen by our awesome production manager Bill (we like to say quality is his middle name, but really this is because he doesn’t have a middle name!) S’well bottles have been tested and certified at independent, accredited laboratories in the United States and Europe to exceed all FDA regulations (as well as California’s Proposition 65) and for quality and safety.
Anything! Here are the questions we receive on a regular basis:
- Can I use my S’well for alcoholic beverages? Yes, stainless steel is used by the brewing industry and we have been known to use ours for rosé wine, which inspired the 750 ml. wine bottle-sized S'well!
- Can I use my S’well for milk, breast milk or baby formula? Yes, stainless steel is inherently safe and is used by the dairy industry and moms alike.
- Can I use my S’well for orange juice or other acidic drinks? Yes, stainless steel is a stable metal and will not be affected by what you put inside.
- Can I use my S’well for carbonated drinks such as champagne or soda? Yes, you can!
Great idea. S’well bottles make great gifts, for everyone! And especially so for those on your shopping list who are interested in highly designed, functional, and eco-friendly products. S’well bottles arrive ready for gift giving in a fantastic cylinder tube, and are not labeled with a price tag on the product or the invoice. Gift messages can be included on our packing slip. Yet please be aware, our bottles do not arrive in anonymous packaging. S'well will appear on the outside. If you have a special request for a gift, just let us know. HSL, our amazing Helpful S'well Lady, manages our California and Kentucky warehouses and will be able to help you out.
S’well bottles are happiest when cleaned with warm, soapy water and allowed to air dry with the lid removed. A bottle brush may be used to scrub away any residue left behind from what you put in it. If you are running low on soap, you can also clean with vinegar and baking soda. We must insist you do not clean your S'well bottle in the dishwasher; it will null and void our ThermaS'well Technology guarantee and potentially damage the vacuum seal. And the cap prefers a rinse, rather than a soak. Please don't intentionally submerge the cap under water for a long period of time-- this could result in water being trapped inside.
Yes. Well, except for Silver Lining which is like Superman in his supersuit, simply a Man of Steel. For instance, the colors on your S’well bottle can become marked from your cup holder, bike cage, rubbing against your car keys in the bottom of your purse... you get the idea. We think this gives your S’well bottle character and these marks are badges of honor from living a healthy, helpful and happy life filled with adventure.
Let's highlight HEALTHY here: when we decided on the paint, we looked for a solution that was safe & eco-friendly first and foremost. True durability had to be sacrificed in this case. Some people love a scratch-resistant product that can withstand anything, but we found some of those paints and coatings to have toxins and lead... and we wouldn't dare go near anything like that.
We’d love to hear from you! Please submit your question or comments in the S'well Helpful Info Center.
Now, go outside and have an adventure and stop asking us questions!
